Eventually we would like to expand, and also be able to run a Youth Café for ages 12 and above from the centre. Currently we are recruiting volunteers to help us run the club, and also taking suggestions as to what you would like to see happen there! A suggestion board has gone up in the community centre so please do pop in and add your ideas. If you would like to volunteer with us, please come to the centre to have an informal chat with Becky, or call us on 01256 464571 to discuss your ideas. We will provide relevant training and full support to all our volunteers, and you can commit to as much or as little time as you like. If you have some time to spare and would like to be involved in this exciting project, please get in touch!

A big thank you to all the buyers and sellers who attended the Westside Community Centre Indoor Car Boot Sale on Saturday - your support is much appreciated. We now hope to make this event a regular feature each month, and as such the next sale will be held on Saturday 14th November. As before, it will be £5 per stall, and we will provide the tables. However, we will no longer be charging for buyer entry, so tell all your friends, and come along to see if you can bag a bargain! As before, buyers are invited from 10am but sellers may set up from 9am, and you can pre-register for your stall via email, phone or by popping in to the centre. Refreshments will be available, and the 'hand-knitted hats' stall will be making a return by popular demand. We hope to see you there!

12th October 2009

Thank you so much to everyone who sponsored Becky for the tandem skydive! Your donations were incredibly generous, and all of us here at Westside Community Centre want to extend our warmest thanks. You have helped us to raise around £250, and as promised, all the money donated by the community will come straight back to the centre. The most popular suggestion was for improvements to the main kitchen, so we are currently getting quotes on improving the sink area - we hope you'll be pleased with the changes! Many thanks again, and hope to see you at Westside Community Centre soon.

3rd October 2009

After the success of the first Westside Community Centre car boot sale we are holding a second on 17th October! Sellers will be charged £5 per stall, and buyers 20p entry. Sellers are encouraged to register with us before the event, by phone, by email or by popping in to the centre.
